Children Available:

• 12 months to 16 year old boys and girls, both healthy and with special needs.

Average Foreign Source Fee:

• $16,000 in addition to agency fees. **

Travel Requirements:

• One or both parents travel to Russia for approximately three (3) weeks.
• Two trips are required.
• The first trip is when you meet your child and begin the paperwork.
• It will last approximately 5 days.
• The second trip is to complete the paperwork and will last approximately two weeks.
• There may be approximately 1 to 2 months between trips.

Length of Process:

• Adoptions from Russia generally take 2 to 6 months from the approval of the Home Study.
• It will take 0 to 3 months to be invited to travel after the acceptance of your referral.

Age and Civil Status Requirements:

• Single or married people may adopt.
• If married, you must be married for a minimum of one year.
• Russia strongly prefers that adoptive parents be no older than 45 years older than the child they wish to adopt.
• The age of the youngest spouse will be considered.
